Plans to revive the mostly vacant Pantai Plaza are expected to commence in August and to be completed in stages. Located along the Federal Highway, the plaza, renamed as Bangsar Trade Centre (BTC) will have a wholesale centre for food and beverage and hospitality industry.
Malaysia Building Society Bhd (MBSB) signed a RM120mil debt settlement agreement with Twin Pavilion Development Sdn Bhd to revive Pantai Plaza.
The agreement will also settle the debts of the plaza's previous owner, Atlas Corporation Sdn Bhd. Twin Pavilion Development chairman Tan Sri Ramli Ngah Talib said plans for the plaza included a corporate office tower, convention and exhibition centre, strata office suites and a hotel.

Some RM150 million worth of properties were sold at iProperty.com Expo Premium Collection, held over the weekend at Mid Valley Exhibition Centre.
Twin Pavilion Development who came on top at the iProperty.com Expo Luxury Collection 2011, again generated the highest amount of sales amounting to RM24million for its Bangsar Trade Centre project. Trinity Group recorded a total of RM11million in sales for the Z Residence, while Ong Chong Realty raked in RM10million for Boulevard Residence, placing it at third place.
Now in its sixth series, the three-day event saw over 50,000 visitors, with a total of 320 property units sold.

The recently held iProperty.com Expo Luxury Collection 2011 saw more than RM275 million worth of properties sold.
Twin Pavilion Development Sdn Bhd generated the highest amount of sales amounting to RM38 million. Andaman Property Management Sdn Bhd recorded a total of RM11 million in sales for The Arc in Cyberjaya and ranking in third was SP Setia Bhd with sales amounting to RM5 million.
Aside from the property exhibition, the launch of Southeast Asia's first Android property search app by iProperty.com Malaysia left many in awe. The expo also hosted investment forums and seminars on property related topics.
